Registering for a Convention
Before You Register
- You must be logged in with a verified email address.
- Make sure you meet the age requirements for the convention.
- Read the convention's home and details pages so you know what to expect.
Starting Registration
- Open the convention's page.
- Click the Register button. This takes you to the registration form.
The Registration Form
Convention organisers can add custom questions to their registration form. These vary per convention and may include:
- Dietary requirements or allergies.
- Emergency contact details.
- Ward or stake affiliation (for church-affiliated conventions).
- Any other information the organiser needs to prepare the event.
Required fields are marked with an asterisk. Fill in all required fields before submitting.
Submitting Your Registration
Once you have completed the form, click Register (or Join Waitlist when the convention is full). You will see a confirmation on screen, and a confirmation email is always sent to your address.
After Registering
Registration is immediate — as long as a spot is available, your status is Registered straight away; no organiser approval is needed. If the convention is full you can join the waitlist instead, and your status shows as Waitlisted. Your registration appears in the Registered Conventions section of your dashboard.
Organisers can remove a registration if necessary — for example if you don't meet the event's requirements. You would no longer count towards the event, and the freed spot is offered to the waitlist.
When the Convention Is Full
If a run has reached its maximum capacity, you can join the waitlist instead of registering directly. If a spot opens (because a registered participant cancels), you are automatically moved from the waitlist to Registered — no action is needed on your part. You will receive an email notification when this happens.
Cancelling a Registration
You can cancel your own registration from the convention's registration page while you are logged in. Your spot is freed immediately and offered to the next person on the waitlist, if there is one.
